Position: Research Associate I
Type of Position: Contract/Freelance
The Research Associate will be responsible for the transposition and entry of relevant quantitative and qualitative raw data from a variety of sources including video recordings, text-based questionnaires and other data files resulting from field research. The Associate will assist in the analysis of collected data and in preparing reports based on analyzed data. There will be a significant amount of data entry work involved. There may be opportunities to assist in field research for proven Associates. In these cases some travel may be required. Work is allocated on a freelance/contract basis and duration of engagement may vary from 1-8 weeks per project. During a project, associates must be available between 20-40 hours/week. Any necessary training will be provided.

Candidate Qualifications:
- Some college experience required
- Background in research related field preferred
- Prior experience with data analysis a plus
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint skills
- Good analytical skills with an ability to identify key issues in complex situations
- Good writing, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience in retail a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills required
- Once trained, candidate must thrive in a relatively unstructured entrepreneurial
environment
Compensation:
$10-15 per hour based on experience
